(Woody) Raleigh Woodrow Peebles

Raleigh Woodrow Peebles (Woody), 92 of Dodd City, Texas passed away Saturday October 15, 2022.

Woody was born in Ivanhoe, Texas January 23, 1930, to Charles William and Celia Ellen Peebles (McMillion). They have preceded him in death as well as his wife’s Wilma Jean Peebles (Groves) and Patricia M. Peebles (Roundtree), brothers Jack Peebles, Orb Peebles, Tom Peebles, sisters Helen Fry, Jake Silvestrini, Nell Arrington, Loretta Frank, and Erva Jo Young.

Woody was a Carpenter and Roofer and Building Manager for fifteen years for Dodd City School district. An Honorary member Son of The American Legion and was of Baptist Faith.  

Survivors include sons Douglas Wayne Peebles of Trenton, Texas, Larry Richard Peebles of Dodd City, Texas, Gregory Len Peebles of San Clemente, California, daughter Mary Green of Denison Texas, and sister Charlene Turner of Sherman, Texas, several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
